In 2003, Dr. Karen Melton opened her
own practice, Audiology and Hearing Center, in her hometown of Farmington. “I selected Farmington because being
close to my family is important to me,” she says. “I love the small town atmosphere and wanted to raise
my children here”.
Dr. Melton graduated from Farmington High School and attended Mineral Area College.
Her credentials include a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University, a master’s degree at the
University of Georgia, and a doctorate degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences. As a Farmington native, she “gives
back” to her profession and the community. She recently served on the Board of the Missouri Academy of Audiology
and received the Key Contributor Award for excellence in serving the community.
Dr. Melton holds the distinction
of being the only Doctor of Audiology in the Parkland.
